    The Aspen Snowmass Vintage Car Race will feature 60 vintage race cars from the 1960’s and 1970’s, competing in the first automotive race in 19 years to occur completely on Town streets. The last time a race of this caliber was held in ski country was in 1998 in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

    • Road impacts and one-lane closures will begin at 7:00 am on Thursday, September 14th to allow for course set up
    • Approximately 60 to 70 drivers will compete in the one day street race in a series of small group sessions with exhibition style, friendly, racing.
    • Participants will race in 20 minute sessions.
    • Upper Brush Creek Road, Upper Carriage Way, and the Wood Road Bridge will have restricted traffic access 7am - 5pm.
    • 10 minute breaks between sessions to allow for traffic to pass through and to clear the course, if necessary.
    • Alternating one way traffic will be permitted on Wood Road.
    • Elbert Lane will be closed to traffic, parking, and deliveries.
    • Business owners in the upper village should attempt to coordinate deliveries or schedule them for alternative dates
    • Village Shuttle and RFTA bus routes will be modified slightly during the event. 
    • Mountain View, Creekside, and Brush Creek complex residents will be only be able to enter and exit the course area during the session intermissions. Parking in an alternate location or planning to stay and watch the event is advised
    • A lot of great spectating and viewing opportunities will be available from the Village Lots, Town Hall parking lot, and more.
