BMW and Shell - Together Again in 2026 for Engine Oil in North America & RoW
We received an update dealers are returning to stock BMW Motor oils supplied by Shell in April 2026 after Shell renewed its partnership with BMW Group in 2025. Shell began replacing Castrol as our engine oil supplier on February 1, 2026.
Shell is known for their inroads in the base components and technology used as the base for many BMW motor oil products with their GTL or 'Gas To Liquid' process - where fluids are made from natural gas instead of conventional crude oil.
Orders placed directly from us after March 25th, 2026 will be fulfilled utilizing the new Shell products, across all available weights and oil types.
Our direct customers may opt to put in a special request with their order for a desired manufacture preference and we will notify on availability before shipping.
For those that may prefer the Castrol line, we currently have a small quantity available.
Orders from our other (expedited delivery) sales channels will be fulfilled utilizing Castrol's product until quantities run out. We currently expect that to occur approximately the second week of April 2026.
